Blending classic techniques and forms with modern materials and equipment to create garments infused with imagination and memory

 
Near the lakes of Minneapolis is the location of Studio Ruemmele (pr.  rum-Lee) along with my small avant- garde fashion brand Ruem (pr.  rum). This is a place where I create bespoke clothing, art, and accessories that translate whismsically adventurous creativity from the language of textiles to that of enjoyable garments. Most of the materials used are surplus, remnant, findings, thrifted, gifted or even found in a "free" pile on the side of the road. Reinventing imagination seems like it's the next frontier and I see Ruem as very much on par or ahead of most brands in the ability to transform secondhand materials effectively.
I enjoy running this operation while I work as a restaurant server in the evening, making sure to get plenty of time for pizza and naps and hanging out with my cat.
